The tentative budget was presented as the roadmap for the county’s fiscal year, with commissioners noting the measure’s status as an interim adoption that allows staff to proceed with year‑end accounting and public notice requirements. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to adopt the tentative budget; the motion passed with all commissioners voting in favor.
The board’s action came amid routine approvals earlier in the meeting, including payroll and payables totaling $674,010.68. The county clerk provided a fund-by-fund breakdown during the meeting, listing the General Fund and several special funds that the tentative budget will encompass.
The county will publish required notices and return on Dec. 30 for final budget adoption. No public hearing or substantive changes to the budget were recorded during the Nov. 25 session.
