The Carter County commissioners approved two procurement items during the meeting: offering a contract to Picture Perfect for rehabilitation of Cabin No. 6 and authorizing additional gravel crushing at the Wagon Wheel Pit.
On Cabin No. 6, staff and contractors had reviewed revised quotes. A commissioner moved to offer Picture Perfect a contract for $37,063; the motion was seconded and the board approved the offer. The commissioners discussed contingency allowances and insulation/material choices before approving the contract offer.
On road materials, a commissioner moved and the board approved crushing an additional 20,000 cubic yards of gravel at the Wagon Wheel Pit at the same per‑unit price the contractor has been using while in the area. The motion passed and staff were asked to facilitate sample delivery and confirm timing with the contractor.
Both votes were taken without public comment, and staff will prepare formal contract documents and follow the county’s procurement procedures before final execution.
