Birdville ISD presents 2024–25 district annual report; public hearing closes with no comment

The Birdville ISD Board of Trustees opened a public hearing Feb. 26 on the district’s 2024–25 annual report (the TAPR). Brian Allen, director of planning, assessment and accountability, walked trustees through the report’s eight sections — including the TAPR, PEIMS financials, accreditation status, campus performance objectives, incident reporting and post‑secondary indicators.
Allen told the board that Birdville ISD’s accountability rating for the 2024–25 school year is 79 and that 15 campuses earned at least one distinction designation. He noted the CCMR (college, career and military readiness) and other post‑secondary indicators are lagging data and said the district would update the report to reflect newly released 2023–24 post‑secondary information before posting it online.
“If anybody would like access to this, it will be posted on the district’s website within 2 weeks,” Allen said, pointing board members to the posted materials and advising that paper copies would be available at the Birdville Administrative Complex and campuses.
President Kunkel opened the floor for public comment on the TAPR; seeing no one come forward, he closed the public hearing.
The report is scheduled to be posted on the district website and made available in print at district offices; trustees did not take further action on the item at this meeting.
