The Cleburne County Board of Education approved three parental leave requests at its Jan. 5 meeting in Heflin.
The board approved maternity leave for Madison Wiggins, a special education teacher at Cleburne County Middle School; the motion was made by Jay Grubbs and seconded by Owen McWhorter. The board then approved maternity leave for Sky Victorino, a teacher at CCES, on a motion by Owen McWhorter and second by Tracy McMahan. Finally, the board approved paternity leave for Brock Harrell, a teacher at RHS, on a motion by Tracy McMahan and second by Jay Grubbs. All motions were recorded as unanimously approved by members present.
These personnel items were presented under the superintendent’s recommendations and were recorded as approved without additional discussion. The approvals will be reflected in personnel records and scheduling for the affected schools.
