Commissioners approve preliminary plat for 8-lot Lakeside Hills subdivision
Summary

Aaron Appert, planning and zoning staff, presented a request for preliminary plat approval of an eight-lot Lakeside Hills residential subdivision. Appert said the lots would be served by the Lakeside Water and Sewer District and that the proposed internal road would connect to Boerne Creek Road.
In reading findings, staff concluded impacts on wetlands, soils, vegetation and public health would be minimal, required an approved weed-control plan and stormwater management review, and said the subdivision would likely add approximately 70 average daily trips on Burning Creek Road. Appert said the applicant must obtain an approach permit from the Flathead County Road and Bridge Department and submit required easements before final plat approval.
A commissioner moved to adopt the findings as read and to approve the preliminary plat; the board approved both motions by voice vote.
The approval was for preliminary plat only; additional conditions, final engineering, and agency reviews (Flathead County Health Department and Montana Department of Environmental Quality) were noted as prerequisites to final plat approval.
