Colbert County school board unanimously approves multiple personnel changes and substitutes

The School Board of Colbert County Schools on Oct. 16, 2025, unanimously approved a series of personnel actions recommended by Superintendent Nathan Fuller.

Superintendent Nathan Fuller presented the personnel slate during the regular meeting at the district central office in Tuscumbia. The board accepted resignations including Nicholas Isbell (Business Education Teacher/JV baseball coach at Colbert Heights High School), effective Oct. 24, 2025, and Alexandra Salomonsky-Corbin (English teacher/head girls basketball coach at Colbert County High School), effective Oct. 13, 2025. Fuller also presented new and interim assignments, including Chris Johnson as interim head girls basketball coach at Colbert County High School, effective Oct. 16, 2025, and Trey Stanford as a physical education and health teacher/JV baseball coach at Colbert Heights High School, effective Oct. 27, 2025.

The board approved a contract employment appointment for Mollie Walker as a county-wide occupational therapy assistant for the 2025–26 school year (July 29, 2025–May 22, 2026). The board also approved a voluntary transfer for Brett Vick (position change effective Nov. 3, 2025) and a long-term substitute appointment for Meghan Clark as an English teacher at Colbert County High School for the period Sept. 25–Nov. 20, 2025. The board recorded a paid parental leave/FMLA notice for Keri Newton, Cherokee High School teacher, from Oct. 27, 2025–Feb. 17, 2026, and listed Keri Carter among staff for the 21st CCLC after-school program.

David Yarber moved to approve the personnel recommendations; Jarrod Johnson seconded the motion, and the board voted unanimously to approve the slate.

The board did not debate the recommendations on the record; all items were approved as presented.
