The Town of Cramerton Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on June 25 to approve the Downtown Streetscape proposal, authorizing Town Manager Zach Ollis and the Town Attorney to finalize the contract with the selected contractor.
Manager Ollis said bids had been received and staff revised the contract for clarity. The expected contract amount is $425,609.80. Work is expected to begin the second week of July 2024, with an estimated completion time of six to eight weeks, weather permitting. The project scope includes sidewalks, hardscape plaza seating and a playground feature as part of downtown improvements tied to economic development and pedestrian access.
The Board’s authorization allows staff to execute the contract and schedule the work; contractor and project phasing specifics were not detailed at the meeting.
