The Town of Cramerton Board of Commissioners voted unanimously May 21 to approve the town’s Fiscal Year 2024–25 budget and to set the new property tax rate at $0.435 per $100 valuation.
Town Manager Zach Ollis presented the proposed budget and told the board that property taxes make up about 57% of the town’s revenue. The board opened and closed a public hearing on the proposal; no members of the public signed up to speak and no comments were received online.
Commissioner Scott Kincaid moved to approve the budget as presented; Commissioner Jennifer Ramsey seconded and the motion passed on a unanimous vote of the five commissioners present. Mayor Pro Tempore Richard Atkinson moved to set the tax rate at $0.435; Commissioner Kathy Ramsey seconded and that motion also passed unanimously.
The board posted the full budget in the meeting packet and on the town website, where residents can review the plan and supporting documents. The approval authorizes town staff to implement the FY2024–25 spending plan; the minutes do not record additional implementation dates or department-level allocations beyond what appears in the posted budget.
