The Somerville City licenses and permits committee on Feb. 25 voted to accept the Feb. 11 meeting minutes and moved a used-car dealer application toward a City Council hearing process.
Chair Emily Hart read a public hearing notice for a Class 2 used-car dealer license for USA Auto Hub at 61 Prospect Street (15 vehicles; Mon–Fri 9 a.m.–7 p.m.; Sat 9 a.m.–3 p.m.; closed Sunday). The chair opened the public hearing; no members of the public raised their hands, and the chair closed the hearing and asked that the item be referred for recommendation.
Later in the meeting Clerk Poteer called the roll and recorded unanimous votes to accept the February 11 minutes and to recommend approval of the item that had been the subject of the public hearing. The referral will place the dealer application before the City Council as the next step in the approval process.
No public commenters spoke on the record during the Feb. 25 meeting; the committee’s action was procedural and moved the application to the next stage for a properly noticed council-level hearing.
