Fulton County commissioners approve $335,634.88 in payables, accept retirement and authorize up to $35,000 Krivak Trust payment

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on March 3 approved $335,634.88 in account payables and $132,711.81 in payroll and took a series of personnel and administrative actions, including accepting a retirement and authorizing a Krivak Trust payment.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch called the meeting to order at the Commissioners’ Office in McConnellsburg. Commissioners unanimously approved the Feb. 24, 2026 minutes and the list of payables dated March 3 totaling $335,634.88, which included $291,026.05 from the General Fund; they also approved payroll dated March 6 totaling $132,711.81.
Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress submitted a letter of retirement after 25 years with Fulton County; Commissioners accepted her retirement effective July 11, 2026 and thanked her for years of service, including her work with the Fulton County Medical Center board. The board also approved a travel request for Chief Probation Officer Dan Miller to attend the annual CJAB Conference April 20–22, 2026.
On personnel, Commissioners voted to hire Laurel Griest as Office Deputy I for the Prothonotary’s Office, effective March 4, 2026; a brief Salary Board set her salary. The board entered multiple executive sessions during the meeting for personnel matters and reconvened after each session.
Financial and procurement approvals included authorization of a CDBG Delegation of Signing Authority form for HR Administrator Mary Huston and two commissioners to sign invoices to SEDA COG; approval of a lease from DBB for a printer for MDJ Heming’s office for $3,647.00; and approval of a Plan Asset invoice from Conrad Siegel for $3,844.25 to be paid from plan assets. The board also approved a burial expense application for veteran Gary Allen Myers, who served in the Air Force during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
County auditors Penny Kipp, Rebecca Kendall and Holly Falkosky presented an audit review. Human Services Director Julie Dovey asked for a Krivak Trust Application to assist an applicant; Commissioners approved Krivak Trust assistance up to a maximum of $35,000, with applicant details kept confidential under HIPAA. Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville provided an update on Phase II renovations of the newly purchased building on Lincoln Way West in McConnellsburg.
The meeting concluded and the board adjourned at 1:03 p.m.
