Battalion Chief Cody Wright presented CAL FIRE’s third-quarter response statistics to the City of Lake Elsinore council, saying the department handled 1,863 calls for service during July through September.
Wright, who identified himself as Battalion Chief Cody Wright, reported six residential structure fires, 145 traffic collisions and 43 vegetation fires over the quarter. He described that about 74% of calls were medical aids and that false alarms totaled 152 calls, representing roughly 8% of all calls. He noted several significant incidents for the city, including the Macy fire and an airport fire.
Wright provided station-level call counts for local resources: Lake Elsinore Station (downtown) ran 336 calls, Medic Squad 10 ran 236, McVicar (transcribed as McVicarrie) Park Fire Station ran 538, Engine 85 ran 602, Canyon Hills Fire Station ran 561, Engine 94 ran 643, Rosetta Canyon ran 269, and Quint 97 ran 519. He also said mutual-aid exchanges included the city assisting Canyon Lake 22 times while receiving assistance 11 times.
Council members thanked Wright; no substantive follow-up questions were recorded. The presentation concluded without council action.
