Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved two resolutions from the Bedford-Fulton Joint Recreation Authority (BFJRA) on Dec. 30, 2025 that amend the authority's articles of incorporation and change its membership and policing authority.
The board adopted Resolution 9 of 2025 to increase the number of BFJRA board members and Resolution 10 of 2025 to authorize the authority to appoint police officers "who will have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to the property of said Authority," according to the resolutions as read into the record. Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod represented the BFJRA at the meeting.
Commissioner Wible also moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027. The appointment passed on a unanimous voice vote.
The measures were presented as administrative changes to the BFJRA's governing documents; no public comment or roll-call vote tally was recorded in the meeting minutes beyond the notation "All in favor." The commissioners did not record any amendments to the resolutions during the meeting.
The commissioners took the actions during their regular session at the Commissioners' Office in McConnellsburg.
The BFJRA manages recreational services spanning Bedford and Fulton counties; the resolutions and appointment will be reflected in the authority's filings and membership roster going forward.
