Lake Hamilton presents Wolf Way Awards, honors Power Band state championship

During recognition at the Nov. 17 board meeting, the Lake Hamilton School District presented its monthly Wolf Way Awards and celebrated the Lake Hamilton Power Band’s recent state championship.
Jane Balgavy, Director of Fine Arts and Educator Effectiveness, and Brian Bridges, Director of Communications, introduced the awards. Elementary School Principal Christina Bales introduced the honorees. Student Ivery Moore was recognized for kindness and respect for others; staff member Tanya Duke was honored for dedication, empathy and compassion toward students.
The board also recognized the Lake Hamilton Power Band for a state championship. Parent Kira Bridges read a letter thanking band faculty, the board and administration for their support of the program.
Why it matters: recognition programs and extracurricular success are community morale boosters and publicly acknowledge staff and student achievement.
