Cheyenne County commissioners approve agenda, minutes and adjourn after brief session

The Cheyenne County Board of Commissioners convened Feb. 26, 2026, at 9:01 a.m. with Commissioner Smith presiding and Commissioners Jolly and Pelton present, according to the meeting minutes. County Administrator Marcy Brossman, Land Use Administrator Jerry Allen and Clerk Allison Brown were recorded in attendance.
The board approved the agenda after Commissioner Pelton moved and Commissioner Jolly seconded; the motion passed. During the public comment period, Mick Bogenhagen requested the board attend an Eastern Transportation Planning Region meeting in Akron on March 9. Delene Walsh joined the meeting at 9:06 a.m.
The board approved the Feb. 19, 2026 minutes on a motion from Commissioner Pelton, seconded by Commissioner Jolly. Commissioners reviewed expense vouchers and signed warrants for various county funds. The meeting was adjourned at 9:48 a.m. following a motion from Commissioner Pelton, seconded by Commissioner Jolly; the minutes record the motion passed.
No votes on substantive policy changes were recorded during the session; one older agenda item concerning a draft resolution to modify a conditional use permit was tabled for legal review and will be considered later.
