Cramerton approves 2.404-acre annexation for Bowman Development

Assistant Town Manager Josh Watkins told the board the parcel is contiguous to the town limits and currently lies in the town’s extraterritorial jurisdiction with a B-1 zoning designation. The board had previously accepted a Certificate of Sufficiency and set the Nov. 14 public hearing at its Oct. 17 meeting. After opening and then closing the hearing, Mayor Pro Tempore Susan Neeley moved to approve AN23-01 VC 2E; Commissioner Scott Kincaid seconded the motion and the vote was 4–0 in favor.
The annexation adds land to the town’s boundaries; Watkins said the property’s existing B-1 zoning will remain in place. The action was presented as a routine voluntary annexation with no public comments recorded during the hearing.
The approval concludes the board’s local review of the AN23-01 VC 2E request. Any subsequent development or permit requests for the site will proceed under Cramerton’s land-development and zoning processes.
