Cramerton approves Millstone Townhomes preliminary plat, confirms secondary egress provision

The Town of Cramerton Board of Commissioners approved the S23-02 Millstone Townhomes preliminary plat on Feb. 20.
Assistant Town Manager Josh Watkins presented the preliminary plat and staff recommended approval. Commissioner Kathy Ramsey moved to approve the plat; the motion passed 5-0.
Commissioner Dixie Abernathy asked whether a secondary egress was shown on the plat. Watkins pointed to a stub labeled Grafton Trail that would provide a secondary connection when the adjacent vacant property is developed, consistent with town ordinance requirements.
Next steps: staff will continue review and processing under the town’s subdivision and plat procedures; any needed construction or bonding requirements will be addressed as part of subsequent approvals and permitting.
