Cramerton approves $989,248 fire engine purchase, appropriates $1.5 million SCIF grant

The Board then approved Budget Amendment #3 to accept and appropriate the grant funds. Both motions passed unanimously, 4–0.
The staff presentation stated Atlantic Coast Fire Trucks "provided the best options and cost to meet the needs of the Fire Department" and that the remaining grant funds would be used to outfit the vehicle for service. The Board did not identify an immediate local funding match for the grant and directed staff to finalize purchasing details and schedule for delivery and outfitting.
The approvals were routine procurement and grant-acceptance steps to replace a capital asset used by the Cramerton Fire Department; the Board took no additional policy actions regarding fire service levels during the workshop.
