The Nashoba Regional School Committee on Jan. 14 voted unanimously to authorize Chair Leah Viverito to sign a first-amendment easement granting Massachusetts Electric Company access to district property to support electrical work at the NRHS site.
Kirk (district presenter) explained the document was a boilerplate amendment received from National Grid and had been reviewed and approved by the district’s outside counsel. The administration asked the committee to authorize the chair to sign and notarize the amendment quickly because it is time-sensitive.
Committee member Scott requested that staff attach the referenced prior agreement to the record for committee review; administration agreed to provide the prior agreement and return the executed amendment promptly. The motion to authorize the chair was moved by Amy, seconded, and approved by roll call.
Next steps: Administration will arrange for the chair to sign and notarize the amendment and return the executed document to National Grid; staff will provide the prior agreement to the committee as requested.
