Fulton County commissioners Randy H. Bunch, Steven L. Wible and Hervey P. Hann met Jan. 27 and unanimously approved a slate of routine business, including the Jan. 20 meeting minutes and $234,913.72 in accounts payable.
The accounts payable total—approved on a motion by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann—was recorded with fund detail in the minutes: General Fund $145,851.38; 911 $30,555.07; Medical Assistance Transportation $27,752.25; Debt Service $14,148.95; and smaller amounts in other funds, for a combined total of $234,913.72.
The board approved the hiring of Amanda Sheffield as Caseworker II in the Services for Children Department on a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible; the appointment is contingent on required clearances and completion of paperwork. The Salary Board met separately at 11 a.m. on the hire (separate minutes are on file).
Commissioners also amended the agenda to add a credit card approval and approved a county credit card for Mapping and Planning Director Thomas Peppernick for departmental purchases, following a motion by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed submitted the form.
An invoice from insurance agent Robert Snyder for the Fulton County Tax Collectors Blanket Bond (Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America) for bond dates Jan. 1, 2026–Dec. 31, 2029, in the amount of $3,313.00 was approved on a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch.
Other routine approvals recorded in the minutes included an Elect IT Solutions staffing invoice for February 2026 and a Companion Life Insurance renewal for group term life and AD&D at the same rates as 2025, effective April 1, 2026. All motions were recorded as unanimous.
