Lake Hamilton School Board approves 2026 master plan, calendar, new security cameras and personnel changes

The Lake Hamilton School Board met Jan. 19 and approved a slate of district actions, including adoption of the 2026 Master Plan, the 2026-2027 academic calendar, procurement of additional surveillance equipment and multiple personnel actions.

Assistant Superintendent J.J. Humphries presented the districts 2026 Master Plan, describing committed and planned projects and allowing a public hearing; no members of the public spoke. The board voted 4-0 to adopt the plan on a motion by Dana Keithley, seconded by Matt Diggs.

Director of Instruction Jason Selig presented the proposed 2026-2027 school calendar. The board approved the calendar by a 4-0 vote on a motion by Dr. Tiffany McCain, seconded by Dana Keithley.

Justin Orrell, Director of Technology Infrastructure, asked the board to authorize purchase of one additional district NVR server plus 50 classroom cameras, 10 AI cameras and 5 outdoor cameras from IK Network Solutions. The board approved the procurement 4-0 (motion: Dana Keithley; second: Matt Diggs).

The board accepted personnel changes as presented: resignations from Traci Britt (High School Counselor), Tim Koller (Middle School Teacher) and Nicole Turpen (GT Coordinator position only), and hires including Christie Pattyn (Elementary School Teacher) and Thomas Petersen (Courier). The personnel approvals passed 4-0 on a motion by Dana Keithley, seconded by Matt Diggs.

The board also voted 4-0 to expel Student 3879 (motion: Dr. Tiffany McCain; second: Matt Diggs). The minutes record the vote and the student identifier but do not specify the grounds, duration or any appeal rights.
