At the Feb. 11 meeting, several facilities and community-event items were discussed.
Brandon Miller presented vendor quotes for tennis-court surfacing and a replacement fence and said he will contact companies with follow-up questions and return with clarified bids. Clay Barker reported a sunken section of asphalt in the school parking lot that needs repair.
Mayor Sim Bell said reservoir shares were available and suggested the town explore using tourism grant funds to purchase shares and develop recreational opportunities such as a fishery; Kathy Argyle suggested hosting an ice-fishing derby. The board agreed to look into share availability and possible grant funding; Sim Bell said he would check whether shares are still available.
Separately, the board set the town Easter Egg Hunt for Saturday, April 1 at 1 p.m., with volunteers meeting at noon to set up. No bids, contracts, or budget approvals were completed at the meeting; board members asked staff and the presenting board members to return with cost estimates or grant-application details before any commitment.
