Angela Mayfield, a Canyon Hills resident, told the council she repeatedly reported an RV parked at a corner in her neighborhood that she says impaired pedestrian and driver visibility and nearly caused an accident.
"My name is Angela Mayfield. I have a concern regarding the amount of RVs parking on the streets of my community, Canyon Hills," Mayfield said, recounting that she first reported the vehicle on October 27 and followed up several additional times through November 11. She said Maureen, a community development technician, acknowledged the reports but that code enforcement had not inspected within the timeframe described in the code enforcement mission statement.
Mayfield said the vehicle was present on multiple occasions and that her HOA's proposed changes to community rules might conflict with Lake Elsinore municipal code regarding RV and commercial parking. "This info has been submitted to the city manager," she said, and she said she will continue documenting and attending meetings if the issue is not resolved.
Mayor Manos and others offered immediate follow‑up: the mayor suggested Mayfield speak with Assistant City Manager Shannon Buckley, who the mayor described as overseeing code enforcement, and Councilwoman Johnson recommended using the Alert LA system to create a formal, time‑stamped record of complaints.
The council did not take formal action at the meeting but staff offered to follow up with Mayfield after the session.
