Commissioners then approved a three‑year Johnson Controls HVAC maintenance and oversight contract (6% increase) covering preventive maintenance and repair hours for 15 county facilities.
Why it matters: the water heater serves the detention facility and failure could cause operational disruption; the HVAC contract ensures continuing preventive maintenance across multiple county buildings. Both votes authorise use of existing CIP allocation or contract renewal without additional transfers.
