Dave Frunty, Road and Bridge, said the agreement with Robert Pesha & Associates covers preparation of bid documents, construction oversight and closeout for crack sealing with a not-to-exceed fee of $13,700. Frunty also requested authorization to publish a call for bids for crushing and stockpiling materials for chip sealing and winter-maintenance sand; he proposed a $500,000 project budget using federal SRS carryover and current-year funds to produce chips and sand and aimed for contractor completion by June 30.
Frunty provided a departmental update for February noting increased brush-cutting hours (~1,800 more hours year-to-date versus the prior year), early-season sweeping, and routine safety topics. Commissioners approved the RPA contract and the call for bids by unanimous vote.
