Gress told the board she has worked since she was a teenager in a range of local roles, including time with the Fulton County Newspaper and work as a realtor, and that she serves on the board of directors for the Fulton County Medical Center. Commissioner Bunch thanked Gress for her years of service and for coming in early to help make the transition easier.
The acceptance of the retirement sets a July 11 effective date; the minutes do not record any immediate appointment to succeed her or a timeline for replacement. Commissioners indicated they would work on transition planning to ensure continuity of Domestic Relations services.
