Resident urges Collierville to add signs or reconfigure East Shelby Drive near Fleming Road
Summary

Belinda Shaw, a Forest Park subdivision resident, used the public comment period Nov. 24 to press the Collierville board for clearer signage or a reconfiguration of East Shelby Drive where three lanes narrow to one approaching Fleming Road.
Shaw told the board the existing sign marking the left-lane end is placed out of sight for drivers in the left lane and that the right lane also ends without an adequate warning, leaving only the middle lane to proceed straight into Fleming Road. She said the situation is made worse by a detour following a bridge closure on Holmes Road and warned that the middle-lane driver is exposed to contact on both sides.
Mayor Frazier acknowledged the complaint, noted the town is working on a long-term widening project that will take several years, and asked that traffic/engineering staff (Mike Clark was cited as the relevant staff member) review the intersection for interim signage or reconfiguration. Shaw said she would provide photos to staff to help locate the specific sign placements.
No formal action was taken; the board said staff would follow up.
