The Andalusia City Board of Education approved a new Camera Policy and adopted two updated board policies at its Jan. 5 meeting. Superintendent Dr. Daniel Shakespeare presented the items.
On the Camera Policy, Dr. Shakespeare presented the proposed policy and the board approved it on a motion by Sammy Glover, seconded by Billy Bergfeld. The board also approved updated Board Policies titled "Uniform Guidance for Federal Programs 7.93" and "Credit Card Use 7.94" on a motion by Sammy Glover and a second by John Wells.
Dr. Shakespeare also recommended a Social Studies Textbook Committee for the 2025–26 school year; the board approved committee membership including Tony Norris (AHS), David Kirkland (AJHS), Magen Alexander (AES) and additional teachers listed in the minutes.
