Andalusia, Ala. — At its Nov. 18, 2025 regular meeting, the Andalusia City Board of Education elected Parrish King as board president and John Wells as vice president and approved a package of routine business including October financial statements, personnel changes, several board policy updates, installation of a safety wall at Andalusia Elementary School (AES) and a Child Nutrition Program (CNP) procurement plan revision.
Superintendent Dr. Daniel Shakespeare called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Judge Ben Bowden administered the oath of office to Parrish King and Billy Bergfeld before the board opened nominations for officers.
