Plattsburgh International Airport officials discuss $150,000 ESD grant, engineering work and potential car-rental lease

Airport business was highlighted in committee reports at the Clinton County Legislature's Jan. 23 meeting. Airport Director Chris Kreig told the Legislature that McFarland-Johnson, Inc. has requested additional engineering work and that a prospective Empire State Development grant in the amount of $150,000 was under consideration to support airport projects.
Legislator Robert Hall, who chairs the Plattsburgh International Airport Committee, said the committee reviewed several resolutions related to airport operations and discussed a potential car-rental lease. Hall told members the committee would continue the conversation at its next meeting, scheduled for Feb. 27.
Economic Development Director Renee McFarlin and other staff were recognized for attending committee meetings and supporting the airport's planning work. No final award or contract was approved at the full Legislature meeting; committee review and further approvals were noted as next steps.
