Floyd County approves resolution to pursue commissioner sale for long-delinquent parcels and OKs SRI contract addendum

The board also approved a contract addendum that would allow SRI (which currently assists the treasurer's and auditor's offices) to help conduct the commissioner sale; SRI would receive 15% of proceeds collected plus the county would be responsible for costs and required legal notices.
Why this matters: the commissioner sale is a mechanism to return tax-delinquent properties to revenue-producing status; the county noted some properties have been inactive for more than 20 years.
