Jill, identified in the meeting as president of the Veterans Coliseum Preservation Foundation board, asked the council to authorize seeking bids for renovating the Grand Army of the Republic rooms, the Spanish–American War room and the main foyer as part of preparations to apply for grant funding. "We are looking for the commissioners to, ask for bids for the front rooms," Jill said, noting the foundation hopes to apply for grant funding with an April 15 deadline.
