Cramerton commissioners appoint planning and parks subcommittees, adopt agenda

Cramerton — At its Sept. 5 meeting the Town of Cramerton Board of Commissioners adopted the proposed agenda, approved members of a Planning and Zoning Board appointment subcommittee and named a staff liaison for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
Commissioner Atkinson moved to adopt the proposed agenda; Commissioner Kincaid seconded and the board voted 4-0 in favor. Assistant Town Manager Josh Watkins told the board that the Planning and Zoning Board has two terms expiring Dec. 31 (Jena Goodman and Robert Badger) and, per town policy, the board must form a subcommittee consisting of the mayor, the town manager and two commissioners to screen applications. Commissioner Atkinson moved to appoint Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley and Commissioner Kincaid to serve on the Planning Board Appointment Subcommittee; Commissioner Ramsey seconded and the motion passed 4-0. The record lists the intended subcommittee as Mayor Nelson Wills, Town Manager Zach Ollis, Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley and Commissioner Kincaid.
On the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board item, Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley nominated Commissioner Ramsey to serve as the staff liaison to the advisory board’s nominating committee. Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley moved to approve Commissioner Ramsey as the staff liaison; Commissioner Kincaid seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:24 p.m.; Commissioner Ramsey seconded and the vote was 4-0. No public comment was registered at the meeting.
