Town introduces Stormwater Administrator Chase Sturgis

Cramerton — The Town of Cramerton on Sept. 5 introduced Chase Sturgis as its new Stormwater Administrator during the Board of Commissioners meeting at Town Hall. Assistant Town Manager Josh Watkins said Sturgis joins the town from the City of Gastonia, graduated from Appalachian State University and is currently working on a master’s degree in public administration.
Watkins formally introduced Sturgis to the board and public, and the commissioners welcomed him to the role. No formal action was required; the introduction was listed on the agenda as a presentation and the board offered congratulations.
The appointment does not include further procedural steps recorded in the meeting minutes. Staff roster listed at the meeting also included Town Manager Zach Ollis, Attorney Karen Wolter, Parks and Recreation Director Brandon Free, Deputy Town Clerk Michelle Emory and Assistant Town Manager Josh Watkins.
