The Cramerton Board of Commissioners adopted the town’s 2023–24 budget at its June 29 meeting and approved a property tax rate of $0.445 per $100 of assessed value.
Commissioner Helms moved to adopt the budget; Mayor Pro Tempore Neely seconded and the motion passed on a 5-0 vote. The board then approved the proposed tax rate on a separate motion by Neely, seconded by Helms, also by a 5-0 vote. Mayor Nelson Wills thanked the town manager and staff for their work preparing the budget.
The meeting also approved the consent agenda 5-0. Consent items listed in the minutes included the May 18 and June 1 meeting minutes, a stormwater administrator job description, a surplus property resolution, a bank signatures resolution, Budget Amendment #27, a change of meeting schedule, McAdenville Fire lease and interlocal agreements, a set public hearing notice for TA23-01, and a contract for playground repair at Goat Island Park.
