The Town of Cramerton Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on March 30 to remove Planning Board member Wil Neumann following a closed session held under N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(6).
Mayor Nelson Wills called the special meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. in the G.M. Michael Commission Chamber at Town Hall. Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley gave the invocation and the pledge of allegiance was recited by those present. The Board adopted the proposed agenda on a 5-0 vote after Commissioner Kincaid moved to adopt and Commissioner Ramsey seconded.
Commissioner Neeley moved that the Board enter a closed session to investigate the performance of a public officer, citing N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(6); Commissioner Ramsey seconded and the motion carried 5-0. After the closed session the Board returned to open session on a motion by Commissioner Helms, seconded by Commissioner Ramsey, which also passed 5-0.
Following the return to open session, Commissioner Helms moved to remove Wil Neumann from the Planning Board; Commissioner Kincaid seconded the motion and the Board approved the removal by a 5-0 vote. The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley, seconded by Commissioner Helms, with a 5-0 vote. Town Clerk Hannah Brown attested to the meeting minutes.
