Administrative Assistant Mary Culver told the Port Deposit Town Council on Feb. 17 that the town will transition its website from Wix Editor to Wix Studio, requiring a full site rebuild to improve organization, navigation and functionality. Culver said the annual website cost of $324 will not increase and that the transition is expected to occur without downtime.
Culver also said residents will soon be able to opt in to receive town news via email and that meeting summaries will be posted on the website going forward, measures intended to improve public information and access to council materials.
Deputy Mayor Kevin Brown announced the Fire and Ice Festival, hosted by the Port Deposit Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in downtown Port Deposit as part of the Cecil County Tourism Winter Lights, Cecil Nights campaign. The minutes state additional details will follow.
No council reports were presented and no public comments were recorded. With no further business, Deputy Mayor Brown adjourned the work session at 7:15 p.m.
