Amy Skinner, director of Planning and Building, described the measure as a technical cleanup recommended by the Planning & Zoning Board to make clear which properties require demolition review. Staff said the changes are intended to streamline reviews and eliminate ambiguity in the demolition section of the code.
There was no public testimony. A commissioner moved to accept the ordinance on second reading, the motion was seconded, and the clerk recorded unanimous affirmative votes from the commissioners present. The ordinance will take effect as provided in the city code.
What’s next: ordinance adoption implements clarified review criteria; staff said they are available for follow‑up questions and will support implementation in future demolition reviews.
