Cramerton board adopts agenda, appoints mayor as NC League delegate and adjourns
Summary
At its Jan. 5 meeting the Town of Cramerton Board adopted the meeting agenda (4–0), appointed Mayor Nelson Wills as the town’s delegate to the NC League of Municipalities (4–0), and adjourned at 7:00 p.m. (4–0). Commissioner Kincaid was present via Zoom and indicated he could not vote on at least one item.
The Board of Commissioners adopted the proposed meeting agenda on a motion from Commissioner Helms, seconded by Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley; the vote was recorded as 4–0 in favor. Commissioner Kincaid stated he could not vote because he was attending virtually.
Later in the meeting, Interim Town Manager Leamon Brice explained that the North Carolina League of Municipalities uses member delegates to vote on a legislative agenda and asked the board to designate a delegate. Commissioner Helms moved to nominate Mayor Nelson Wills to serve as the town’s delegate; Commissioner Atkinson seconded. The motion carried 4–0.
Commissioner Helms moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m.; Mayor Pro Tempore Neeley seconded and the motion carried 4–0.
