Town Manager Zach Ollis told the board the contract window is intended to give staff sufficient time to research options and to advertise an RFP for future service. Commissioner Helms moved to approve the agreement and to authorize the town manager and town attorney to finalize contract documents; Commissioner Kincaid seconded the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
The contract as presented will be finalized by town staff and the town attorney; the board did not vote on an in‑house option at the meeting.
