Summary

At the July 25 meeting, Legislator Robert Hall told colleagues the Plattsburgh International Airport Committee had met earlier that evening and that Airport Director Chris Kreig reviewed Resolutions #589 through #596, construction work by C & S Engineers and McFarland-Johnson, airline operations and taxi-cab arrangements.
Hall highlighted that SkyWest Airline had moved up its start date to Aug. 22, which the county said will make travel to the USA Hockey level-five coaching symposium in Lake Placid (Aug. 23–26) more convenient for visiting participants. “This is just one small example of how our new Essential Air Service provider will not only benefit our Airport, but will also be a catalyst to our entire region,” Hall said.
The Airport Committee scheduled its next meeting for Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 5:15 p.m. at the Plattsburgh International Airport; Hall invited all legislators and the media to attend. The minutes record no formal vote tied specifically to the construction updates in the public minutes; Resolutions #589–#596 were placed on the meeting agenda on the committee’s recommendation and were later recorded as approved in the session’s resolutions block (vote tallies not specified in the minutes).
