Fulton County commissioners approve payables, personnel moves, appointments and routine business

Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025, totaling $281,921.91; the minutes list a Fund 100 General Fund disbursement of $214,588.09 and additional fund entries including $46,105.21 from Opioid Settlement Funds. The motion passed with the record noting 'All in favor.'
The board met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress on department matters. Commissioner Hann moved to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Dec. 8, 2025, and to advertise for an 'Enforcement Officer 1' position both internally and externally; both motions were approved unanimously.
Commissioner Wible moved to retroactively approve a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve and execute a request from the Sheriff's Department for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility; both motions passed with no recorded opposition.
The board approved an appointment: Thomas Peppernick was appointed to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term to Dec. 31, 2027. Commissioners also reappointed Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board for two-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2027.
Commissioner Bunch moved to approve the 2026 Commissioners' Meeting dates for public advertisement in the Fulton County Newspaper. The minutes record two executive sessions for personnel matters (9:36–9:38 a.m. and 10:52–11:30 a.m.). A DCED financial monitoring interview listed for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled by DCED, which requested to meet with SEDA COG and the chief clerk instead. The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
