Commissioners approve BFJRA charter amendments and appoint Craig Cutchall

Representatives of the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority — Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod — met with the Fulton County Commissioners on Dec. 30 seeking approval for two amendments to the authority’s articles of incorporation and a board appointment.
The board unanimously approved Resolution 9 of 2025 to increase the number of BFJRA board members and Resolution 10 of 2025 to authorize the authority to appoint police officers who will have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to authority property. Following those approvals, the board appointed Craig Cutchall to a one‑year term on the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027. Commissioner Steven L. Wible made the motions and votes were recorded as unanimous.
The resolutions include authorization for the authority and its officers to execute, verify and file appropriate articles of amendment; the board also noted the approvals repeal any prior resolutions inconsistent with these amendments.
The meeting continued with routine county business and adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
