Both drafts met statutory requirements for instructional minutes and included two built‑in bad‑weather days or additional instructional minutes.
After committee discussion and an administration recommendation, a motion to approve Draft A (the Wednesday start) was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board thanked the committee and staff for outreach and said the adopted calendar meets state instructional‑minutes requirements and includes provisions for staff workdays, breaks and bad‑weather contingencies.
