Plano ISD board recesses into closed session, reconvenes and adjourns

Board President Lauren Tyra called the Plano Independent School District Board of Trustees to order at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, noting a quorum was present and welcoming attendees. "Noting that a quorum is present, I call to order this board meeting," Tyra said.

The president introduced district leadership seated at the dais. With no objections from the board, Tyra announced the board would adjourn to closed session at 5:32 p.m. "If there are no objections from the board we will now adjourn to closed session as authorized under the Texas Open Meetings Act for the following purpose, section 551.071," she said. The board reconvened in open session at 6:50 p.m., moved to agenda item 5 and, with no further business, adjourned the meeting at 6:50 p.m.
