Commissioner Scott McMahan moved, and Commissioner Knisely supported, a recommendation to the Full Board to authorize the I.T. Department to purchase Microsoft 365 online software licensing at an estimated annual cost of $63,000 to be paid from line item #631-228-977.010; the committee also accepted a quote from Secur-Serv for Microsoft 365 migration services not to exceed $25,000. The motions stated these actions were at no additional cost to the County's General Fund.
The committee authorized acceptance of a quote from Ninja One for a Remote Monitoring and Management software tool at a cost not to exceed $9,000 for one year, to be paid from line item 101-228-809.000.
Commissioners approved renewal of the rack space lease agreement with Bluewater Regional Networks, Inc. for Central Dispatch for a five-year term at $550 per month for the first year, and authorized the Sheriff's Office to submit the Corrections Officers training grant reimbursement form for the first half of the calendar year.
The committee voted to renew the County's liability insurance coverage through the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority for Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026, with an annual premium of $625,664 to be paid from line item 101-242-713.000. Commissioners also appointed Pat Lederle, president of Lapeer County Recycling, as an alternate member of the Materials Management Planning Committee.
All motions were recorded as carried and will be forwarded or implemented per department procedures.
