County reviews $12,650 proposal to add pickleball courts to Trembling Earth master plan

Recreation Department Director Lance Adamson told the Ware County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 12 that Lose Designs—the original designer of the Trembling Earth Complex—has submitted a $12,650 proposal to update the complex master plan to include pickleball courts.
Adamson said the work would occur in two stages: project initiation, which includes stakeholder meetings and a review of what has changed since the original 1999 plans, and conceptual planning with recommendations for what needs to be done. He said the Wadley side of the complex appeared to be the least expensive option; Commissioner Leonard Burse said the county should aim to do what is "wise and prudent." The commission added the proposal to the regular meeting agenda for further consideration.
The work session discussion did not result in a final contract award; staff will return with additional information at a later meeting.
