Menomonee Falls trustees approve consent agenda, development agreements and 2026 paving contract; move into closed session on TID negotiations

The Village Board of Menomonee Falls took several routine and committee actions on March 16 and then convened into closed session to discuss tax-incremental-district negotiations.
The consent agenda, presented by the deputy clerk, included proclamations establishing Arbor Day (April 24, 2026) and World Migratory Bird Day (April 24, 2026), bill approval for February 2026 in the amount presented on the record, and an unenclosed premise permit for Knights of Columbus festival on May 23. The consent agenda passed unanimously.
In committee business the board approved a conditional operator's license for an applicant (motion recorded and supported in committee), with a condition that no additional criminal violations occur during the licensing period and that the police department review compliance every six months. Trustees discussed the applicant's evidence of rehabilitation and employment before passing the measure unanimously.
Under Utilities and Public Works committee items, trustees approved a development agreement with Custer Lane Condominiums LLC for 10 side-by-side duplex condominium buildings (20 units) under terms that developers will reimburse the village for public improvements, accepted dedication of public improvements for Tamarind Addition No. 2, and awarded the 2026 Asphalt Paving Program (project 4126043) after accepting the low bid and alternates as recorded in the meeting. The board voted aye on each of these items.
Trustees then voted to convene into a closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(e) to "confer regarding possible development and or redevelopment of property in Tax Incremental District No. 6 and the negotiation strategy to be adopted by the village." The motion to go into closed session was seconded and approved; the board proceeded to closed session for the TID discussion.
Recorded motions and the meeting record show unanimous support on the public motions taken; no roll-call tallies with individual yes/no votes were read into the record for each motion beyond the board-wide "aye" statement during the meeting.
