The Wichita Falls Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the district’s year-to-date financial reports and a set of budget amendments during its special meeting.
A staff presenter summarized six months of operations, noting general fund revenues and expenditures and recommending acceptance of the attached financial and investment reports. A trustee moved to approve the year-to-date financial performance; the motion was seconded and the board approved the recommendation by recorded voice/hand vote (7–0).
Administration also recommended amendments to the 2025–26 budgets to reflect a $930,446 change in expenditures that resulted in an adjusted general fund budget figure provided in the packet; food service revenues and expenditures remained unchanged, leaving a deficit amount noted in the materials. A motion to accept the budget amendments passed by unanimous voice vote (7–0).
Board members asked routine clarifying questions before both votes and the board took the actions as presented. No additional budgetary directions were recorded on the record.
The board also discussed a later facilities-related recommendation (civil engineering services for parking-lot repairs) and instructed staff to return items to consent or for additional detail prior to a future vote.
