The Stafford Municipal School Board took two formal actions in open session on Jan. 12.
Order of election: The board approved the order of election for May 2, 2026, establishing filing dates for trustee positions 6 and 7. Filing opens Jan. 14, 2026, and closes Feb. 13, 2026. Trustee Hanehosa made the motion to approve; Vice President Jean Baptiste seconded. The chair called the vote and the motion carried 70.
Consent agenda: The board then approved the consent agenda (trustees asked for one correction to the minutes/town-hall attendance record and discussed adding a generic category to the check register for future transparency). Trustee Hanehosa moved and Secretary Sosa Montelongo seconded; the motion carried 70.
These actions were the only agenda items that required votes in the open-session portion of the meeting; staff will follow up with details about the election schedule and the consent-agenda corrections.
