Rush County approves Health First and small equipment fund uses, and hears police-equipment grant request

Staff also reported a $1,238.74 Health First receipt from a prior county that had opted out; the funds will be used for promotional and educational materials. Motions to approve these uses were made, seconded and approved by the board.
Separately, a presenter described applying for an LLC grant to fund law-enforcement surveillance equipment (a digital camera and a high-zoom digital lens) that detectives requested to support drug investigations. The presentation included photos of the camera and lens; the board discussed the request during the meeting record.
Next steps: approved funds will be processed by county finance; the law-enforcement equipment grant request was presented for approval in the meeting and will proceed through the usual grant-acceptance processes if awarded.
